Follow these simple steps to apply the decal to your surface:
Step 1: Clean and Prepare
Thoroughly wash your cup with soap and ensure it is completely dry. Avoid using alcohol as it may compromise the adhesive.
Step 2: Position and Firmly Attach
Position the cup on a firm, flat surface, then gradually peel off the backing while rolling the cup. Once the decal is on the cup, take your time to press it firmly onto the surface. Apply pressure for approximately 3-5 minutes with your palm, utilizing body heat to activate the UV DTF adhesive. This process facilitates easier peeling later on and minimizes the risk of decal lifting. Once applied, the transfer cannot be removed or readjusted.
Step 3: Remove the Backing
Carefully peel off the backing paper from the decal, ensuring it does not stretch or tear. If any part of the design lifts during peeling, gently press it back down before continuing.
Step 4: Smooth It Over
Using your fingers or palms, smooth out the decal starting from the center and moving outward.
Step 5: Allow Activation Time
Do not wash or use the finished project for 24-48 hours to allow the adhesive to strengthen on the glass or cup.
